The Dib Group’s 2025 Christmas Celebration took place at La Castelle in Bankstown last week, bringing together over 600 guests in what was one of the biggest company events of the year. From suppliers and franchisees to dignitaries, staff, family and friends, the evening reflected the culture of appreciation and togetherness that John Dib, founder of Dib Group, has instilled since day one.

The night was full of celebration, reflection, and heartfelt thanks for a year filled with growth and achievement across all areas of the business. NSW Minister Jihad Dib, Father Assaad Lahoud from St. Charbel Monastery with several monks, and Bankstown Councillor George Zakia were among the many special guests in attendance. Leading media representatives also joined, including Anwar Harb of Annahar Australia, Joe Khoury of Al-Mustaqbal, Antoine Kazzi of Telegraph Newspaper, Camil Shallala of Middle East Times, and Sayed Mikhael of Al-Hawadess.

A hallmark of the annual event is its international theme, with this year’s inspiration drawn from Vietnamese culture. Employees and guests embraced the traditional dress, giving the evening a fun and festive energy. Renowned broadcaster Andrew Voss led the evening as MC, keeping the crowd entertained throughout.

A major highlight was recognising team members who have reached incredible milestones. Lola Dib Zaatini was honoured for 10 years of service, while Mrs. Leila Younis and Gary Tong were celebrated for their outstanding 30-year commitment to the company. These moments stood as a powerful reminder of the loyalty and dedication that continue to drive the success of Metro Petroleum.

A moving presentation by Elie John Dib showcased Metro’s achievements in 2025 and highlighted several of the company’s major community partnerships and sponsorships across Australia. From local charities to sports teams and ongoing outreach programs, the Dib Group continues to build on its strong foundation of social responsibility.

Elie also shared a few words on behalf of John Dib, thanking the entire Dib Group family including suppliers, staff, and franchisees for their hard work and loyalty. “Our people are what make us strong,” he said. “Metro Petroleum is not just about fuel; it’s about community, family, and shared success.”

As 2026 approaches, the Dib Group remains focused on growth, innovation, and giving back just as John Dib envisioned when he started with one small service station and a big dream.
